It’s Tuesday! And that means it’s time to participate in the meme created by Broke and Bookish where bloggers share their top ten based on a given topic.
Today’s Topic is: Ten Facts About Me (bookish or just general about you facts or ten facts about you as a blogger…whatever you want)
So here a ten facts about me 🙂
- I can’t stand mushrooms.
- I was named after my mother’s childhood best friend
- I have four siblings (two older, two younger)
- I’m a little obsessive with with way toilet paper is hung (it HAS to fall over the top and NOT underneath)
- No matter how long I spend styling it or how much product I use my hair always looks a mess.
- I wish I was better at painting with watercolours
- Chipped nail polish really irritates me which means I rarely ever paint my nails
- I’m a super slow runner but I am training to run my first half marathon next year. (I’ve been training for a few months and I am not even half way to getting the distance of a half. But I live in hope. It’s nice to have goals)
- When I was little I wanted to marry Dean Cain’s Clark Kent from Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. I blame Dean Cain for my lifelong love of all things Superman. And for me rewatching all four seasons on DVD every now and then.
- If I could go anywhere in the world it would be Scotland. I think that’s partly because of all the Highland set romances I’ve read and partly because of just how gorgeous it looks in photos and travel documentaries.
So that’s me 🙂
I hope you enjoyed learning more about me and make sure you leave a link to your lists because I can’t wait to see what you shared for this week’s list!
I’m really enjoying learning about other bloggers today! Scotland is wonderful, I hope you get to go at some point!
You’ve been? I’m always glad when people like the places I want to go. I think almost everyone I knew hated on Paris when I told them it was on my ultimate travel list! It was slightly disheartening but my desire to go to the Lourve and the Musee D’Orsay outweighs anything anyone says!
Thanks for visiting, Chrissi!
Scotland is at the top of my countries to visit too! If I could choose, without time/money being a factor. As it is, my next stop will probably be Japan. Still cool, just not…Scotland cool. I think I could fangirl over Scotland.
Japan looks amazing! I think 5 people from my family have visited Japan in the last 18 months and they all loved it so much! I never really thought much about visiting before but now after hearing all their stories it has been moved up to to-travel list!
Ah! I haven’t seen Dean Cain in such a long time! I grew up watching Lois and Clark with my mom and have such a great memories. 🙂
Also Scotland is on my list as well. Someday!
When I was six I got my mum to cut my hair in a bob so I would look more like Teri Hatcher’s Lois Lane… oh Lois and Clark – those were the days! 😛 Thanks for visiting, Tasheena!
Oh, Scotland is also on my bucket list. I think that place is so magical. 🙂
I’ve always thought of it as seemingly magical too. And not just because it’s where Hogwarts is….
But I agree – there’s so many myths and legends associated with Scotland and the landscapes just look breathtaking. Thanks for visiting, Joy 🙂
I also have four siblings ,and I am not a fan of toilet paper that is hung the wrong way…I always have to fix it!!! Great Top Ten! 😀
My Top Ten Tuesday!
Giovanna, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has to fix it when it’s wrong!
I love that mushroom picture. I used to not be a fan of them when I was little, but my taste buds have changed since I have gotten older. Scotland would definitely be a beautiful place to go for vacation. Great list, Kate and thank you for stopping by. 🙂
Thanks Jess. I used to be so picky with food when I was little. I wouldn’t eat so many things and now I’ve soften on most of them. But not mushrooms. I try them periodically just to see if they are how I remember them to be and they are!
I’d love to go to Scotland, too, and don’t believe whoever told you they hated Paris. It is one of my favorite cities ever, and you should definitely put it at the top of your ultimate travel list!
So glad to hear you love Paris, Kat! I think some people get caught up in how they imagine somewhere to be that if it doesn’t match up exactly it’s a let down. I hope I’m not that way when I finally travel to the places I’ve been dreaming of. Thanks for visiting. Paris is definitely in the top 5 of my ultimate travel list!
No, no, no! The toilet paper should go under. You are not alone in your need for the toilet paper roll to go a particular way, but I do find it funny that our convictions are quite opposite. I don’t think we could be roommates:(
I don’t think I’ve ever come across anyone who prefers it under. Most people either don’t care (because let’s face it… it’s toilet paper!) or agree with over. I agree… we would be terrible roommates!
First of all, I’m with you 110% on the toilet paper. That is super serious business! And I totally hate mushrooms too, although my husband loves them. *shudder*
Mushrooms and toiletpaper hangage… these are important things! I’m so glad you agree with me, Tracy!
The toilet paper thing made me laugh because I never pay attention but my husband always yells at me to make it so it falls over the top. I thought he was being weird but maybe I am the odd one!! Fun facts!!
I think it’s probably a case of both your husband and I being the weird ones. I don’t know why it bothers me so much. I guess everyone has their quirks? Happy Tuesday, Grace 🙂
Not a fan of mushrooms either. I’m okay with the flavor but the texture just weirds me out. Scotland is on my list too. It looks gorgeous. I have the same issue with chipped nail polish. As soon as one chips I ended up taking all the polish off immediately or I’ll just end up scraping on my nails.
For me it’s the taste and the texture. I’m not someone who can just take the mushrooms off a dish and eat it because the flavour lingers. Thanks for visiting, Katherine!
I can’t stand mushrooms either! I go to University in Scotland and yes it is as beautiful as it looks.
You do? That’s so cool, Jo. And it’s great – I’m coming across so many fellow anti-mushroom fans this week! 😀
I desperately want to go to Scotland as well! And I am in FULL agreement with you in regards to mushrooms and toilet paper. Good luck with your half-marathon running training! Kudos to you for putting in the time, effort and energy. Personally I hate running. Unless there is a murderer/rapist after me, or a giant sale on books, or my car about to be towed, you won’t find me running anywhere :P.
Thank you so much, Sierra! I know it seems silly – the toilet paper thing – but it really bugs me. I’m annoying in the way that if I’m at someone’s house I actually flip it over if it’s hanging from underneath…
I hate running too (I don’t think I’ll ever be someone who loves it) but it’s kind of a bucket list thing. I turn 30 at the end of next year and I’m trying to be fitter and cross half-marathon off my bucket list! I’d run for books. That should be my slogan 😛
Oh! I loved Dean Cain as Clark Kent! My mom and I used to watch it every morning. I feel the same way about toilet paper and chipped nails. If they get chipped, I end up peeling them off haha. But now I do gel nails and they last me like 2-3 weeks before chipping!
Oohh. Gel nails sound like a great alternative! I do the same thing. Whenever my nails get chipped polish I become rather obsessive with chipping off the rest of the polish which can’t be good for them!
Scotland does look AMAZING! And congrats on the marathon training, that is so, so impressive and inspirational! I also think mushrooms are disgusting. Everything about them makes me gaggy. No thank you. Very fun list- and that picture of Scotland makes me need to be there like, yesterday haha.
