Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.
This Week’s Topic: : Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t/Want To Read From X Genre
I’ve chosen contemporary YA because it’s one of my favourite genres and the books on this list? I swear I’ve put them on my to-read list a dozen times each. I’m determined to read them eventually! There are just so many fantastic books out there and not enough time to read them all. But I am by no means complaining. This is a great thing!
So without further ado, this is my list for this week:
Take Me On by Katie McGarry (Oh and the new book featuring Noah and Echo after the events of Pushing the Limits)
This Song Will Save You Life by Leila Sales
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Since You’ve Been Gone, Second Chance Summer, Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour – all by Morgan Matson
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
On the Fence by Kasie West
I think I’ve mentioned each of these book on my blog before – I do intend on reading them and I’m somewhat surprised I’ve not read them yet. They all look like amazing YA Contemporaries and I look forward to crossing them off my list!
Hope you all have a great week 🙂 Feel free to leave a comment and a link to your Top Ten Tuesday so I can comment back 🙂
I’m not a huuuuuuuuge contemporary fan, but I’m surprised to see I’ve read quite a few of these ones. I definitely recommend This Song Will Save Your Life, though; it was brilliant.
I loved Second Chance Summer. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I also can recommend On the Fence by Kasie West. I’ve loved all of her books! I hope that you enjoy these books when you do get around to reading them!
I absolutely LOVED I’ll Give You the Sun. Jandy Nelson’s writing is incredible, of course, and the characters in that book… it had been a while since I felt such unadulterated affection for a set of characters.
This Song Will Save Your Life was really, really powerful. It’s the most realistic book I’ve read when it comes to bullying, and it had such a unique spin on the characters and her hobbies and interests. I also loved the family bonds in that book too.
Huh, well I haven’t read any of those either. But they are on my to read list, as all books seem to be these days *sigh*
Although I did read The Summer I turned Pretty which is another one that Jenny Han wrote.
You have such a great list! I LOVED I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. They are definitely must reads!
I love contemporary YA, too. I’ve read a good number of these –
Take Me On, My Life Next Door, Perfect Chemistry, On the Fence, – all I’ve enjoyed. I really need to read Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour, though! Everyone raves about that one.
I have really been wanting to read Since You’ve Been Gone for quite some time now! I have heard great things about it! Check out my WOW
*swoons* Take Me On was fabulous! I really like Wes, even if he was pretty hot-headed. I just like the boxing aspect of it 😀
And yes, definitely need to read all of Matson’s books. Publishing order is what I recommend!
Both of Fitzpatrick’s books were great, but My Life Next Door is extra special ^_^ And To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was a standout for me last year!
I’m really hoping to read On the Fence next month, as well as West’s other contemporary 😀
I love YA as well and have a number of these still on my TBR!! So many books, so little time, right? Great list!
I’ve only read My Life Next Door but I LOVED it so much! I really want to get to I’ll Give You the Sun, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Since You’ve Been Gone (why do they all have to have such long titles?)
Great List! Half of books on your list I’ve read and the other half are books that are still on the wish list.
I just read This Song will save your life and it was very empowering and emotional. I also adore To All The Boys I’ve loved before and want to read more from Jenny Han!
