Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.
This week’s topic is: Top Ten Books I’m Most Anticipating for 2013
There are so many books I can’t wait to read that are being released next year. I’ve preordered a lot and can’t wait to get mail box surprises!
This list will only be books that have titles and/or covers (so no Untitled third instalment to Veronica Roth’s Divergent series).
Paranormal/Dystopian series I can’t wait to continue
Natural Born Angel (Immortal City #2) by Scott Speer (sometime in April)
Requiem (Delirium #3) by Lauren Oliver (March 5th)
Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer (February 5th)
New Paranormal/Dystopian series
Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School #1) by Gail Carriger (February 5th)
Dualed (Dualed #1) by Elsie Chapman (February 26th)
Nameless (Tales of Beauty & Madness #1) by Lili St. Crow (April 4th)
Contemporary
Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook (January 29th)
This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith (April 2nd)
Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt (March 25th)
Things I Can’t Forget (Hundred Oaks #3) by Miranda Kenneally (March 1st)
Those are my top ten most anticipated releases of 2013 for YA.
And just in case you’re interested – these are a few of the more adult releases I’m excited about…
Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) by Patricia Briggs (March 5th)
Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood #11) by J.R. Ward (March 26)
Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X #1) by Richelle Mead
‘This is What Happy Looks Like’ sounds so good as does ‘Going Vintage’ (I enjoyed Lindsey Leavitt’s ‘Princess for Hire’ series)! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by my TTT list!
Alice in Readerland
I was a fan of Jennifer E Smith’s other book – the Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.
And the description of This is What Happy Looks Like mentioned two of my favourite movies – You’ve got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle…
I haven’t read Lindsey Leavitt’s Princess for Hire series but I shall go check it out.
Thanks for visiting 🙂
So many great books to look forward to! Nobody But Us, Dualed, and Etiquette look awesome. And we have Gameboard, Happy and Requiem in common. Can’t wait!
Ten was way to many to include all the books I want to read! I didn’t even put Natural Born Angel on there and I really want to read that one!

Great list! I really need to start reading the Delirium series. I’ve heard so many good things, and everyone has Requiem on their 2013 list!
My Top 10
I can definitely recommend Delirium. Out of all the books I’ve read this year it’s one of my favourites.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
SO excited for Requiem and Dualed!! I think those are some of my top choices. Gameboard of the Gods looks SO interesting! I can’t wait for all of these amazing books for 2013!
I am so excited for Gameboard of the Gods… I have to admit that the blurb didn’t really draw me in but it’s Richelle Mead.. she’s an instant buy for me. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing.
Agreed! I’m almost finished with the VA series so I’m on board with anything else she writes!
This is What Happy Looks Like was amazing!!! Great list, several that I want to read me as well
You’ve read it? I’m jealous!
Yay Requiem! This is What Happy Looks Like sounds really good as well!
I want to get Dualed as well, can’t wait! 🙂

I’m SO EXCITED for most of these!! And I just love pre-ordering these pretties 🙂 I can’t believe I forgot to put Etiquette and Espionage on my list!
I love pre-ordering. It makes it a surprise when it finally arrives 😛
Etiquette and Espionage – I’m a Gail Carriger fan and hope this new series lives up to my expectations.
I love your contemporary picks, as they’re all definitely books I’d want to read as well. The colors of their covers are so pretty when you put them side by side 😉
I have to admit… I do like reading books with pretty covers more than dull ones. Not to say I judge a book by it’s cover… although I probably do subconsciously.
I’ve seen Going Vintage on a few blogs. It looks really cute! Nobody But Us also looks soo good. These books can’t come out soon enough!
Great list! Scarlet is my #1 anticipation. Cinder was my favorite read of the year so far. Here is my TTT!

Also, This is What Happy Looks Like seems like it’s going to be another great book. I loved The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight. Great choices! 🙂

And I can definitely recommend Cinder – I think it was one of my favourite reads of 2012.
I love the contemporaries that you picked. I also want to read Scarlet. Thanks for stopping by.
I can’t wait for Scarlet either. I have bought many people I know copies of Cinder for Christmas so then I have people to get excited about the series with.
Thanks for visiting 🙂
How did I miss that Jennifer E. Smith has a new book coming out??!! So glad you put this list together. Love the name of your blog!!
Thanks! And I’m extremely excited about the new Jennifer E Smith novel. The blurb describes it as “You’ve Got Mail” meets “Sleepless in Seattle” – both of which are books I adored. Thanks for stopping by.

I adored Cinder – one of my favourite books this year – so I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for visiting 🙂
Yes to Requiem! And the first three of the contemps you picked. AND Richelle’s new book – I had no idea she had another book other than The Indigo Spell coming out 😀
Richelle Mead is like a machine. I’m pretty sure “The Fiery Heart” – Bloodlines 4 – is also out next year… The amount she writes is incredible.
I’m excited for Going Vintage too! It didn’t make my list, but it easily could have.
Awesome choices! I can’t wait to crack open my copy of Cinder but even so I am still eager for Scarlet 😀 Same goes for Delirium lol! And I agree Gameboard of the Gods looks amazing! Thanks for sharing – Here’s my TTT
